Reading Augustine

I have to admit that reading Augustine is not the best idea when you are home sick with a bad head cold and with a sick daughter to boot – especially on a rainy day. But I am teaching the history of Christianity and assigned the first 9 chapters of the Confessions. We’re using the newish translation by Gary Wills and it is like reading the book for the first time. But it really is no cure for a blinding head ache.
